DARE MIGHTY THINGS....
Happy International Women’s Day fantastic members of MCRWC!
Wow. Can you believe it has been A YEAR since the COVID-19 pandemic caused the United States and the world to essentially shut down for a year?
Many now call it the “lost year.” Although all of us have suffered in different ways throughout this year, we still have many great things to be thankful for. Remember, Texans are resilient, tough and undaunted!
More family time. This shutdown has caused everything to slow down. Sometimes, that is a good thing. In our fast-paced world, sometimes we need to take more time to connect with family, friends and co-workers and really listen.
New ways of working remotely. Work, school, church, club meetings, to name a few. This will likely shift the way we do things going forward. Telemedicine made a huge leap forward due to need and let us not forget the biotechnology accomplishments reflected in three-plus COVID vaccines, and the successful strides in intensive care to treat our citizens.
Citizens learned about the strengths and weaknesses of our education system, delivery of goods and services, and how we take a lot of the moving parts necessary for a functional society for granted. No more. Eyes wide open. We are also paying attention to what causes (or not) companies support.
Good neighbors and community resurfaced as we were forced to quarantine. Neighbors are walking, conversing and sitting outside more than ever. For every negative news story on MSM, there are many positive examples of people helping people and why we still are the greatest Nation in the world, and even more so, blessed to call Texas home.
So as the rest of the country is beginning to awaken from its deep slumber, follow the lead of our NASA Mars Rover, whose mission parachute carries a bold message to the universe as it lands on an unknown new world.....Dare Mighty Things!
Time to jump back in the game of life.
Take stock in what we have rather than in what we do not.
Dream big for the future.
Plan on how you will help the Republicans win in the local municipal elections in 2022 and 2024!
Dare to stand up for what you believe in and find friends who will join you in this mission.
So go forth and listen, learn, help and lead.
